MASS
MethodProcess

From the firstline to thefinal form.

Four stages, described plainly. Timelines, costs and approvals vary with every project and are never promised here.
01

Discover

Understanding the brief, site, and design goals.

We walk the site, read its light and ground, and listen. The brief is questioned until its essential idea is clear. Outputs: site notes, reference boards, a written brief.

Discover stage
02

Design

Exploring form, materials, and spatial organization.

Several massing directions are tested in physical models and drawings. Materials are introduced early, because matter changes meaning. Outputs: concept models, plans, sections, material palette.

Design stage
03

Develop

Coordinating technical documentation, consultants, and construction planning.

The chosen design is refined and coordinated with the consultants a project requires. Construction sequencing is studied alongside the details. Outputs: developed drawings, detail studies, coordination plan.

Develop stage
04

Realize

Illustrative construction delivery and final space.

In an illustrative design-build model, the same team follows the idea onto site, protecting design intent through every decision. The finished space is then completed by the life it holds.
